In addition to the banana tree, I have a Surinam Cherry tree (pitanga)
Its never born fruit but it is healthy. So I am going to try to work some fertilizer magic.
Basic plan:
Citrus fertilizer and epsom salt
Pollinate flowers with a paintbrush
Profit!

I used to have a mango tree, a papaya tree and two coconut trees in my yard when I lived on the other side of the Pacific. Banana trees were more of a weed.
