I'm retired too, don't have to get up early, even the cats are pretty good about not pestering for food too early; I can take a nap if I want to; my health is good; I shouldn't be tired all the time - but I'm exhausted. I'm SO tired of him and his destruction and chaos and constantly having to worry and wonder about what the next kick in the pants will be. I wish he would go the fuq away, whatever it takes - resignation, impeachment, imprisonment, coma, alien abduction, death, whatever; I don't care. Just go away and let us rest.

My health is pretty good for my age. I get 7-8 hrs. sleep most nights. I exercise and eat healthy. So why do I feel like I need a nap every afternoon? And one big chore per day is about all I can handle. I used to do so much more.

And being this angry at his support teams is adding to my exhaustion.

And it is utterly useless for me to be reacting this way. But unless I keep all news sources off, I keep having to try to calm myself down.

having to avoid turning on my local news in the morning to catch the weather report and having them lead off with the words "President Trump says" or "President Trump threatens". I can't switch the channel fast enough. I can't even look at the screen. I don't want to start and end each of my remaining days on this earth with hearing a damned thing about him. There's only one exception to that and that would be if I turned my morning news on and heard "IT died today".

The first Trump term was horrible. COVID was almost unimaginable.

Even when Biden won, there was so much to try to do to fix things, and there was ALWAYS the threat of Trump returning. Then, guess what? He's baaaaaaccccckkkk!!!! I couldn't believe people could be SO STUPID as to vote for him AGAIN.

So, it's been TEN years minimum of the nervous systems of most thinking, feeling, logical, sane people having to deal with utter chaos.

I do all of the suggested things. Limit exposure, yada, yada, yada. But I always know that he's still there, and wonder what in the HELL he is going to try next.

I have to take care of my husband, need something to do? I need help.
Or someone dealing with a sick person can use a hand. They will love you forever.
Go see someone, bring chocolate.
