Shipping can be volatile as fuq and is often a snake pit filled with related party dealing and self-enriching management but there are a few that have good shareholder rights policies and reporting.

No insurance on that run, maybe $1.2M a year for salaries
A VLCC makes money chartering for $40K A DAY, FOR $500K a day they’re fuqing rolling in it. That’s why a few are tempted to try it.
