Incorrect, as evidenced by your post.  Unlike the Americans, Russians/Soviets were never on the moon.  Only a couple of their spacecraft touched the lunar surface.

Craft made by Russians in Russia landed on the Moon.

But according to Quence, no Russians on the Moon.
Russians still got to the Moon first.
