Holy shyt, Nextdoor is a shytshow! Apparently the GG bridge was closed for a fog show (glowing clouds) and CHP rerouted all the southbound traffic back into Sausalito jamming every little street.
Samething happened in every northern neighborhood bordering the Presidio.
Trying to see fireworks in SF on July 4th is a tourist move. I've never actually seen them and I was there for 30 years.

There was no way to get an Uber home so I walked, that was about the only problem.
I think the Marin City fireworks set the ridge on fire, and there was a massive emergency response. The fire was under control by morning.
Sausalito is always a huge traffic mess on the 4th. Plus, we are almost back to pre-Covid tourist volumes on those days. This year, its Indians and Australians.
