Still, that sounds like a bit of a rabbit hole with its own implications.

Not really.
The real "rabbit holes" are the Youtube recommendations, that drag you into random manipulative & time-wasting videos.
I should mention that I use browser add-ons to block all algorithmically recommended content on all social media sites.
For example, for X.com / Twitter.com, I use the "Control Panel for Twitter" browser add-on to block the right column of algorithmically recommended content.

3, need to ditch netflix, it's just all their own crap now.

You're not wrong. But I recognize that the YT algorithm is a needy bitch. I ruthlessly curate my feed and history. Half of my favorite channels are on the "Don't recommend channel" list & I limit my history to between 20 and 40 of those unique channels.
For example- I'll watch a ShoeOnHead video, who is blocked, but I keep in history and deliberately looked for... I delete the older bit of history after watching the new one - AND I don't then get flooded with her videos until the retard algorithm finally figures out that's an intermittent taste.
That's not much effort to not depending on a bunch of third parties who may or may not have your interests in mind.

I also do that.
My Routine: Once a day, go into my Youtube history, and delete any videos that aren't from one of my subscribed channels.

Amazon Prime free delivery is worth it's weight in gold - pretty sure I've ripped them off many times over. How the fuq can they even afford $140 A YEAR?? Do they get free trucks / free gas???

Holy shyt, what a ripoff.
Amazon.com & Walmart.com offer free shipping, as long as your order is over $35.
Just fill your Amazon.com & Walmart.com shopping carts with stuff you need anyway, and you'll never have a problem hitting that $35 mark.

SamplesBoiI have very few. I have a Patreon account where I grease about a dozen Youtube channels a month $5 each so that is $60. I count that as one though.
I now have a Google AI $20 subscription. I'll keep that as long as I enjoy making gungirl videos with it or see if it can do some programming. There is a card game for Android I would like to make and I wonder if it can help.
I pay $20 a month for my phone.
I pay $10 a month for my Internet if that can be believed.
Is that 4? I think that is all. I do pay utilities and a car note every month, insurance every 6 for car and 12 months for others. Lawyers and the state once per year for the LLC.
What do you get paying for YT Premium? No ads? 4KVideoDownloader strips all ads for me anyway. So does my ad blocker for the very few I watch within YT itself, which is rare, I'd rather download then watch. What else?
