Yeah, nobody else in the world has this obsession with soccer, they don't even talk about it. It's a uniquely American sport, but nobody cares about it like golf and NASCAR.

What I'm saying is you can observe an artificial shift in the idea that soccer is a sport people are into based on media presentation. They've been trying to make soccer a thing in the US for ages, and it never sticks.
Much of this is because the US already has several big sporting events going on.
