I rarely see homeless people. When I do I often give them money if I have it. But I also don’t often have money. They said, when I worked in the city at a time when cash was more common I very frequently gave money to the homeless. I have even shared a funny story here a few times about how I once discovered I had been taken in by a “we ran out of gas” scam. I wasn’t mad. I just laughed that I had been fooled by their game.
