Remember when Republicans advocated for Free Markets?

Transportation Secretary Markwayne Mullins continues with his plan to restrict international air travel to blue cities like LA, NY, and Chicago. and subsidize red states by routing more international flights through them.  Presumably this would benefit Oklahoma, the state Mullin represented as a Senator. by increasing the number of flights, domestic and international, to places like Tulsa or Oklahoma City.

They want the "free" market to go one way only -- to benefit them.  Anything but this is "Socialism/Communism."

Presumably this would wreak havoc with the airlines existing travel hubs, which feed travelers to airports in NYC, LA, Chicago, as well as others, to connect with international flights.  What cities are red enough to pick up the slack?  Houston and Dallas in Texas?  Orlando/Miami in Florida?  Is everyone on the east coast going to need to fly to Charlotte before they can fly to Europe?
