Avoiding that drinking and driving stuff is also a factor.   I've been first on scene at a nasty fatal.

Yes, it *can* improve your quality of life. That is different than it *will* improve your quality of life.

Additionally, that mostly applies to exercise, not eating "healthy." That's because there is no known universally accepted "healthy" diet. Anything balanced is fine. Yes if you eat 21 plates of lasagna a week that probably is not ideal. But neither is 21 plates of fish or 21 plates of lettuce.

The bottom line is you have very little control over your life expectancy outside of extreme behaviors.
