Just because you happened to purchase property in the same area, you have to somehow socialize with these strangers? This has gained some popularity again, but it is mostly a fad. I don't have much problem with this one other than to say that fixing things for the sake of meeting some arbitrary moral imperative is just fuqing stupid. Like anything else, an action needs to make sense. Is the item fixable? Is it fixable in a reasonable period of time? Is it just cheaper to replace it? I'd argue that the real important thing related here it to buy high quality items that cost more money and not shop for the cheapest fuqing shyt imaginable. How about traits we want to get rid of? Let's get rid of the long-standing (250 years) American tradition of being a cheap fuq.
