VP_Spiro_T_CheneyOil and natural gas aren’t the worst of it…

“The Fertilizer Institute separately estimates that exporters exposed directly or indirectly to the conflict account for nearly 49 percent of global urea exports, nearly 30 percent of global ammonia exports, and nearly half of global sulfur trade.”

Crops will still grow. How much food do farmers throw away?

Farmers are more likely to plant soybeans because they don't need fertilizer, rather than feed corn. The price of feed corn will rise, leading to increases in the costs of eggs, meat and dairy.

If you go to Fox you get a different story… the red State Farm lobby all crying about how they need billions more in taxpayer handout shekels
Check this one out, then imagine the additional impact of $6 diesel and fertilizer costs tripling.

Anyhow FUQ ‘EM with their Farmageddon, they got exactly what they voted for. Now farmers that own hundreds of thousands of dollars in capital equipment and millions in land want low wage service worker renters to give them more handouts.

America is one of the fattest countries in the world, with the poorest demographics being the fattest.
Time for fatass Americans to go on a diet.

So they and you say. I think it's extremely unwise for any country to rely on middle eastern chicken poop to survive.
It's chicken shyt, and piss you are talking about. I;'m pretty sure American farmers can come up with thier own if they must.

Holy fuq you’re stupid.
Nitrogen/ammonia fertilizer is basically made from natural gas.
Synthetic Nitrogen Fertilizer
Natural gas is the primary feedstock for producing synthetic nitrogen fertilizers, specifically ammonia, urea, and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN). It provides the hydrogen needed for the Haber-Bosch process, accounting for roughly 60% of manufacturing costs. High natural gas prices directly drive up fertilizer and food costs

The natural gas provides the three hydrogen atoms for the ammonia. Methane turns out to be more valuable for fertilizer feedstock than for heating. It's too bad we stopped making nuclear power plants.
