“Big win for USA” ?  Meh, why should I give a fuq?

CK Hutchinson is a publicly traded company and the world’s largest port operator, they’re world class at building and operating the infrastructure.  They get shyt done. 

Now a U.S. company like Blackrock will get the contract, they may or may not be as competent but it won’t make two shyts difference to American taxpayers.

Most likely it’ll end up very good for some politically connected private equity firm, slightly negative for the global economy as they won’t be as competent as CK Hutchinson…

and a big negative for the people of Panama as private equity does its usual underinvest/milk it for cash thing.
