President Trump Promises to Pay Most Americans $2,000 From Tariff Revenues
President Trump’s tariffs have been wildly successful at not only bringing other countries to the negotiating table, but also at generating revenue the nation hasn’t seen in ages. But they’re being threatened by the Supreme Court and Congress with a future that is currently in limbo.
To generate public support for maintaining his tariff authority, the president took to Truth Social to make a promise to the American people:

"People that are against Tariffs are FOOLS! We are now the Richest, Most Respected Country In the World, With Almost No Inflation, and A Record Stock Market Price. 401k’s are Highest EVER. We are taking in Trillions of Dollars and will soon begin paying down our ENORMOUS DEBT, $37 Trillion. Record Investment in the USA, plants and factories going up all over the place. A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone."

The government handing out free money only creates more inflation. This is one of the reasons why inflation was so bad after COVID. The government handed out billions to everybody who then went and spent it on shyt they didn't need. Couple that with the supply chain disruptions and - ding - you get run away inflation.

Considering the national debt increased by a trillion dollars over the last 90 days the $1.8T run rate seems a little low. Eliminating taxes for the ultra-wealthy, massive deficit spending… Trump and the oligarchs will eventually destroy themselves with their own vulgar excess.
When the deficit chickens finally come home to roost you’ll see a massive wealth tax applied to the billionaires and even states like Texas and Wyoming will be electing Democratic Socialists like Mamdani.
