Fiverr International expects to cut about 250 jobs, part of an effort to become a leaner, faster AI-first company with fewer management layers.

The cuts represent about 30% of the company’s workforce, a Fiverr spokesperson said.

“The resizing and refocusing effort will allow Fiverr to go after growth opportunities as a leaner organization with an AI-native infrastructure and mindset,” the freelance services marketplace said Monday.

Fiverr reiterated third-quarter and fiscal 2025 guidance. The company expects to reinvest part of the savings in the business, with the rest flowing to adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.

As a result, Fiverr expects to achieve a long-term adjusted Ebitda margin of 25% in 2026, a year ahead of its target.
Shares were recently down 5.6% to $22.52 and are down about 29% this year.

When Fiverr launched in 2010, all listings were for $5 gigs such as proofreading, book writing, coding, system administration, and photo editing. Fiverr debuted on the New York Stock Exchange in 2019.

Multiple analysts reduced price targets on July 31 after the company reported second-quarter earnings. Revenue rose 15% to $108.6 million. “AI-related synergies are booming, with surging demand especially around AI paradigms, workflow automation and vibe coding,” the company said.
“Our outlook demonstrates our confidence in execution while remaining mindful of a dynamic macro environment,” Fiverr said July 30.
