I doubt you've been to San Francisco. If you had been, you'd know that Uber there is dead. Totally replaced by Waymo. There are Waymos everywhere. No drivers and works great.

Everyone I know is taking them including me when they are in SF. It won't take out Uber completely but will destroy their profits year after year after year as self driving expands.

Uber said they will get into self driving but they don't have the tech and the tech providers will just run over them. Tesla hasn't even gotten into the game and they are going to go full in. Waymo is the only game in town right now since Cruise was thrown under the bus recently.

Waymo has and will continue to partner with Uber.  Uber will be a rideshare agregator - Waymo, Tesla, whatever will all use the Uber platform. 

And full autonomous driving (can go everywhere, anywhere, anytime - no geofencing, no weather concerns, no legal concerns) is still a very long way from 100% penetration - the great majority of rideshare will still be done by people for at least the next five years.  Uber will be very profitable for a long time to come. 

It's crazy undervalued at the moment and will hit $100 in 2025, just like GOOG was undervalued all year and then woke up this month.  Bookmark this post.
